From the founder’s heart:

“I first found out about the Beta association when I decided to adopt my first puppy in 2021. I had no experience or knowledge and I was shocked to find out how many dogs were abandoned in Serbia, where I live. Unfortunately this was only the tip of the iceberg. Since then I started following their work and learned about the suffering of animals in the Balkan region, so I decided to help them in every way I can.”

Beta association saves animals, takes them to the vet, takes care of them until they are healthy enough for new homes, pays from their pocket for the shelter, sometimes for years, in order for these cats and dogs to live a decent life. Currently they have about 100 animals they are responsible for. Their dream is to one day have a shelter of their own. Find out more about Beta here: www.betabeograd.org
